![]() ![]() It's fun playing by yourself, but multiplayer is where it's at. In the end, Defend Your Castle is a fun and addictive experience that is totally worth 500 points. #Defend your castle for wii tvValue:Endless supply of rounds and fun multiplayer may keep this on your TV screen for a while to come.Plus,it's only ($5)500 Wii Points.9.5/10 Sound:Gets grating after a while, and with no music except for the main menu,it's a little weak.6/10 Graphics:Looks simple, but looks pretty charming with its "a kid made this"look.9/10 Gameplay:Leaves your wrist sore, but is still extremely fun, especially with friends.Simple, but addictive.9/10 When somebody joins the game, the game will adjust to how many people there are(such as add more enemies). There's 4 player co-op(drop-in/drop-out) which is a nice bonus and is really fun. When I was playing like round 10 or so, my wrist got really sore pretty quicly. There's a great amount of replay value. You get two different difficulties and they are "normal" and "heroic".On heroic, you get quite a few more stickmen than on normal. There is no music while you're playing, but there is music on the main menu. Sure, when you throw a guy in the air and he hits the ground, he makes a splat sound, but it gets really grating and will get on your nerves. The sound gettings a little grating after a while. Everything is extremely simple and the framerate never takes a hit. It has its charm and the sky looks like paper mache. It looks like it was made by a little kid(a good thing or a bad thing) which I like. In terms of graphics, you're getting a very simple looking game. After each round you'll get more enemies which can leave your wrist sore, since you'll be flicking your wrist a lot. Defend Your Castle doesn't end, it goes on forever. #Defend your castle for wii upgradeAs I've said before, you can upgrade your castle after each round. Once you start getting spells, you use them by pushing in the direction on the d-pad in which they're in. Some of the people you can't pick up,such as the bigger guys. You aim at the screen with your Wii Remote(your curser is a bread clip),you pick up stick people with A(or B) and you toss them in the air with your Wii Remote. The controls in Defend Your Castle are very simple. The farther you get,the more enemies there will be.You'll see people with explosive caps, popsicle sticks, catapults and more. After you're done a round, you get to upgrade with the points you have. You can upgrade your castle by buying a mage tower, demolition lab and so on.Defend Your Castle is very high in fun,but low on depth. Very accesible, very fun, very worth getting.By Michael0134567 | Review Date: SeptemDefend Your Castle is a very simple game(it's only 500 points). What you do is defend your castle(hence the name) from stick people that'll attack your castle. That's when you can say you've beaten it. it can survive every round without you having to do anything. I think a good stopping point would be when you can make the castle self-sufficient, i.e. However, if you enjoy playing it as much as I have, you'll want to play through till at at least level 100. #Defend your castle for wii freeSome time ago XGen Studios released a free Flash version of Defend Your Castle. ![]() The levels are infinite, but there's nothing new to see after level 50. WiiWare ReviewDefend Your Castle XGen takes a Flash game favourite and gives it a lick of WiiWare coloured paint. The first 10 levels are really slow and boring, but stick with it (har har) and you'll soon be buried under so many enemies it borders on ridiculous. I've had a lot of fun playing through it solo, but the game really comes into it's own with the jump-in multiplayer, which allows up to 3 other players to join in at any time. Get the latest news, reviews, videos and screenshots for Defend Your. The main differences are the graphics, a new "Heroic" mode for DYC veterans, and 4 way multiplayer.
